Every order leaves our factory flat-packed, checked against the drawings you approved and photographed before the container is sealed. Compact models such as the 5 × 3 ft , so more units fit per container and the freight cost per shed drops. We book the container, prepare the packing list and shipping documents, and release them in time for your customs clearance on FOB or CIF terms.

At 5 × 3 ft the footprint is about 1.4 m², small enough to sit beside a back door, along a side return or on a narrow patio where a full-size shed will not go. It still takes a mower, two bikes, long-handled tools and a bag of compost. That makes it the practical size for terraced-house yards, allotment plots, courtyard homes and the small gardens of new-build housing, where a wider unit leaves no room to walk past.

Rain, Frost and Hose-Down Cleaning

A resin house does not rot, warp or need repainting, so the annual treatment a timber shed demands simply does not apply. Dirt washes off with a garden hose once or twice a year, and the moulded panels hold their colour instead of greying in sunlight. Check the frame and fixings after a storm, and the unit keeps its shape season after season.

The house ships as one flat-packed kit: moulded panels, frame sections, fixings and illustrated instructions, with a floor panel where it is specified. Panels are numbered in assembly order, so two people can build a unit this size in about [2] hours on a level base using ordinary hand tools. If a fitting is missing or damaged, we ship a replacement - there is no need to send the whole house back.

Q1. What are the exact dimensions, and what will fit inside?

External size is 5 × 3 ft ([1520 × 910 × H mm]), giving roughly 1.4 m² of floor space inside the walls. That takes a walk-behind mower, two bicycles, long-handled garden tools and stacked storage boxes or a bag of compost. Two things to allow for when you plan the space: the internal width is smaller than the external figure because of the wall thickness, and headroom falls away towards the side walls, so tall items belong near the centre or under the ridge.

Q2. Does it need a concrete base, or can it stand on paving?

It needs a firm, level surface: paving slabs, a concrete pad, or a timber deck on bearers. What it must not stand on is grass, gravel or bare soil - those settle unevenly under the load and twist the base, which is the usual reason a door stops closing squarely later. On the floor question: this model is supplied [with / without] a floor panel. Without one, the shed sits directly on your paving, so stand anything damp-prone on a pallet or mat. With the floor panel fitted, contents stay clear of surface water and the base stays square.

Q3. Will it be lifted or damaged by high wind?

A unit this light catches wind, so anchoring is not optional on an exposed site. Fix the base rail to paving or a slab with the fixings supplied, or use screw-in ground anchors where there is nothing solid to bolt into. Keep the door closed and latched during storms, and check the frame and fixings once a year. We do not publish a wind-speed rating for this model, because a figure is only meaningful with the anchoring method and the exposure of the site stated alongside it.

Q4. Will the panels fade or crack in strong sun and frost?

The shell is [UV-stabilised] resin, so it is made to hold its colour in sunlight rather than chalking or fading the way untreated plastic does, and it does not become brittle in frost the way thin PVC does. [Insert the panel spec and the colour-fastness statement from your supplier here.] In snowy regions, brush heavy snow off the roof rather than letting it sit, and avoid leaning a ladder against a panel when you clear it.

Q5. Can one person assemble and move it?

One person can unpack and carry the panels, but plan on two for lining up the walls and lifting the roof into place. Assembly takes about [2] hours on a level base using ordinary hand tools. Once built, the empty unit can be slid along its base by two people, or taken apart into panels and moved that way if you want it in a different part of the garden.
